Hello, my name is Allison Branche; originally from the island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, I moved to the United States in 1982, and currently reside in the Pocono Mountain, Pennsylvania area. I am a first time graduate student in search of a M. Ed. with a specialization in School Counseling. Currently, I work in the mental health field as an enhanced case manager for mentally ill adults, and a therapeutic specialist for children and adolescents. As I begin my masters, I look forward to working in a school setting as a guidance counselor, and an adjunct faculty member in a college or university.I later plan to develop the necessary skills needed to excel as a professor in a neighboring university, whilst opening a private counseling practice in my home. Although I enjoy the on campus milieu, I look forward to the advantages of online classes, and anticipate working with my fellow classmates.
My interests include tennis, racquetball, painting, gardening, decorating and reading; my favorite author is Eric J. Dickey his books are life based and very hypnotizing). I would like to one day write children’s books as I feel there are to few books that truly teach children life skills.
